This gorgeous historic treasure dates back nearly 320 years! Although it has been expanded as the Pemberton Family grew, the original structure was built in 1687.
Left to decay over time, the unthinkable happened and it was slotted for demolition in the mid-1970s. That is when the Friends of Bolton Mansion was formed. The organization stepped in to save the house and the restorations began to restore it to its original grandeur.
Restorations continue today and help is always needed in the effort. If you can help, please visit the Friends of Bolton Mansion website and contact one of their members. Let's all keep the history of America alive through the few historic buildings that remain across the country!
Below is some of the evidence we collected during the investigation we were privileged to conduct.

Investigator Thornton captured multiple
orbs while a fellow investigator was recording a significant drop in
temperature with a non-contact thermometer.

Investigator Kranz captured an orb on the
leg of Investigator
Georgiana in an area of the second floor that has
been converted into an apartment. These rooms proved to be
quite active during our investigation.

In
the room next to the kitchen of the home, two investigators sensed the
spirit of a shy, young female child at different times during the
investigation. It was in this room that Investigator Bove' was
telling the spirit that it was okay to come closer and to not be
afraid. It was at this time she recorded this female voice saying,
"Not this time."

In
the same room, later in the investigation, Investigator Kranz recorded the
voice of a male spirit saying what sounds like, "Little
Builders."

While in
the storage area of the second floor, Investigator Bove' had placed her
recorder approximately 20 feet away from where she and fellow
investigators were positioned. Listen to this male voice that sounds
to be right on top of the recorder saying, "Look, Ian has the right
stuff."
