Case Studies - Collings-Knight House, Collingswood, NJ April 5, 2003

Well, it had been a while since we formally investigated one of our favorite places, the beautiful and historic Collings-Knight House.  We used this opportunity as a training session for some of our newer members.  We continue our efforts to draw attention to this amazing piece of our local history so that the Friends of the Collings-Knight House can continue to restore the house to its original glory.  Presented here is just some of the evidence we collected this night.

Two great orbs captured by Investigator Thornton in the active attic. Investigator Weber caught this excellent moving orb in the Front Parlor.

Investigator M. Pennock always seems to capture those awesome multiple orb shots...nice... Apparently, Investigator Brown was not alone when she took this picture in the Keeping Room.

While standing in what is her favorite room in this house, Investigator Bove' caught a grand presence. Um...turn around, Ki.
Investigator Bove' took this picture when she felt someone standing in the hallway and captured the energy entering the Back Parlor. What the heck? Investigator Weber caught Investigator Thornton in this "compromising" position.  Investigator Thornton had sat on the footboard of this antique bed, but slipped and fell back.  Then, she couldn't get up!  See the arrow pointing to her belt?  Somehow when she fell, part of the antique mattress got caught in the big loop on her belt.  Apparently, she wasn't alone either!  Hmmm...this picture just might find its way onto our "Investigation No-No's" page...

EVP EVIDENCE

As always, our talented investigators managed to record many voices during this investigation. This house always has a lot to say to us! Here are just a few of the better recordings.

While in the attic, Investigator Bove' asked aloud, "Is anybody up here with us?"  She received a reply from a female spirit with a British accent saying, "I don't know."   Listen

Recorded by Investigator Weber in the attic is this voice of a female spirit saying, "Something bad is coming."   Listen

When we have investigated the Collings-Knight House in the past, we noticed a mattresses on one of the antique beds in the attic has a rather large, brown stain on it.  We joke and say it is blood, but in reality it is probably varnish.  Even though the subject didn't come up on this investigation, Investigator Weber recorded this clear voice of a woman saying, "Who knocked some paint on the bed?"  We thought that was pretty amazing!   Listen

Poor, Alice!  Investigator Weber recorded the voice of a woman who thinks Alice is stupid!  She comments, "Stupid Alice."   Listen
