Case Studies - Private Residence - Wenonah, NJ - January 19, 2008

Boy, did we fall in love with this family!  They were all so welcoming and fun, that we couldn't help but like them immediately!  Oh, not to mention that their house is ridiculously haunted...

Everyone in the family has had experiences with the spirits who are seemingly there all the time.  Dad is probably the biggest skeptic, but even he couldn't deny being hit by an unseen hand, being called by disembodied voices while home alone, and having personal items hidden from him.  Mom also hears an adolescent calling her, but when she opens her mouth to answer, she'll realize that no one else is home!  Also, she frequently hears a small child call, "Mommy!" and we captured this young spirit on our audio!

The residents' teenage daughter is so sensitive, she talks to the young female spirit that goes everywhere with her - sometimes even to school!  She didn't appreciate it, though, while sitting at her computer one night, she had her ponytail scrunchie pulled right out of her hair!  We have found that the young adolescent female spirit has quite a "forceful" personality, peppered with some rather unflattering expletives! 

The youngest of the family, a young boy, doesn't like the second floor hallway much, as the old woman who paces back and forth will sometimes wake him up!

The humans are not the only ones who interact with the spirits in the house...the canine subculture is also "bothered" by unseen visitors - and we have the evidence to prove it! 

We are planning follow-up investigations of this home because we feel it has more to say to us...we offer our findings for you here...

The adolescent female in this home is quite opinionated and does not always behave like a little lady!  There were other spirits from this investigation who also found their way onto our Adults Only Pages!  As always, no foul-mouthed spirits will be featured in our public pages.  The only way to hear what this young spirit had to say to us is to visit the Adults Only Section of our website! 

Living Room

One of the things reported by the mom of the family living in this house is that she often hears a young child calling, "mommy" when her children are not home.  Astonishingly, Investigator K. Groff recorded the clear voice of a young child saying, "Mommy!"  In this clip, you'll hear one of her fellow investigators state they are "hearing a child."  Investigator Groff then says, "Hmm-hmm" in agreement.   Listen

Investigator K. Groff recorded these strange EVP in the living room of this home.  A belligerent-sounding woman emphatically states, "I'm gonna stand up!"  A man then says, "Butt out....butt out.  Gone."   The voices are clipped separately to be heard more clearly.   Woman   Man

The family owns two pugs that are often affected by the activity in the home.  They frequently appear to be reacting to someone who is not apparent to the family!  Listen to this audio recorded by Investigator K. Groff.  You'll hear one of the dogs bark sharply, to which the homeowner goes, "Shhh."  A young female spirit then tells the dog, "Be a good puppy."   Listen

Just second after the dog barks at "something," another woman can be heard saying, "Calm down, boy." followed by the same young female saying, "See?  Ok, puppy."   Listen

Shortly after recording the woman and man, Investigator K. Groff recorded a young female saying, "This is intricate."  Could she have been talking about our investigative process?   Listen

Bedroom One

It is in this bedroom where much of the activity in the home occurs, as it is occupied by the homeowners' teenage daughter.  Investigator K. Groff asked the young female spirit her name, to which she replies, "Melissa."   Listen

Second Floor Hallway

The upstairs hallway in this home is particularly active for the family.  As Investigator K. Groff was recounting her psychic impression that many spirits were present in this area, a deep-voice male spirit mused, "No, not surprised...hmm."   Listen

Family Room

This is a very cool EVP and one that could be right out of the movie, "The Others!"  Recorded by Investigator K. Groff, you will hear the very soft voice of a female asking, " Can you hear?"  A younger, more audible female continues, "You can hear 'em.  They can hear you too."   Listen

Investigator Bove' recorded this female voice in the family room, almost singing the name, "Melissa."  Listen carefully and you'll hear another female answer, "Yes?"  This is 2 of 3 times the name "Melissa" was recorded by spirit voices during our visit this night.   Listen

While Investigator Sauter and her team were investigating the family room, she picked up this exchange between two spirits.  The first asks, "Who are these people?" followed by a second woman suggesting, "Ask your mom."   Listen

In this clip, you'll hear Investigator Bove' instructing one of the family members in putting on a set of headphones, saying, "...put 'em on just like that."  I female spirit then echoes, "Those you're gonna put on?"   Listen

While investigating in the family room, Investigator Sauter captured this young male voice stating, "Hate big cars."   Listen

Investigators Sauter and Bove' were both receiving imagery of a tall man in the family room.  Both investigators felt that he protects and looks out for the family.  During this imagery session, Bove' recorded this deep-voice male stating, "I am Vince."   Listen
