Case Studies - Private Residence - Trainer, PA - December 1, 2007
This trippy picture was taken by one of the residents of this warm, lovely home. After attending one of our public presentations, they decided to try a little ghost hunting at home! So, mother and daughter ventured into the master bedroom, only to find that the camera's flash wouldn't work. After leaving the bedroom, the camera worked perfectly. Back in the bedroom, the camera's flash again wouldn't work. They decided to try taking a picture anyway, without the flash. Boy, were they surprised to see this man's face when the film was developed! The camera was a 35mm and did not have "night vision" capabilities...FREAKY!
That is when they called upon SJPR to investigate the paranormal activity they have been experiencing for more than a decade in and around their house. They report footsteps throughout the house, but in particular, coming up out of the basement. Of course, as they wait to see who is ascending the stairs, no one actually appears!
They also hear the voice of a child; she laughs and asks if anyone wants to play. She seems particularly drawn to one of the female residents in the home. The mom of this family also reports the little girl hanging out with her, tugging on her clothes as a small child does when they want attention! The members of this large family also report their names being called from time to time, but no one else in the family actually called them.
If that wasn't enough activity, they also see an older man with a black hat who walks by without warning and then disappears. Family members have been touched by in the basement by an unseen hand, knickknacks fly from their shelves without cause, and doors open and close on their own. Whew!

Investigator Halpin captured this small, bright orb in the family
room. She didn't stay here long, though, as she felt very
unwelcome. All of the investigators this night reported the
same feeling in the family room, so little time was spent there.

While in the master bedroom, Investigator Pray felt the presence of
an older female when she took this picture. She got the
impression the female was attached to the bedroom set in this room.

Investigator Bove' took this picture at random in one of the
bedrooms, which shows a small orb.

A Child's bedroom
While investigating one of the bedrooms, Investigator Kurkis recorded this young female voice saying the name, "Casey." Listen
Just after the above EVP was captured, Investigator Kurkis picked up another young female saying, "This is Kathy." Listen
The Master Bedroom
While sitting quietly in the master bedroom, Investigator Bove' recorded this child's voice saying, "My mommy." It has a mechanical-sounding quality to it. Listen
The Basement
At the very start of the investigation, Investigator Bove' turned on her recorder and picked up a male voice commanding, "Get the horse - get 'em!" Listen
There was a workshop in the basement that was in a separate area. Investigator Bove' felt that "visitors" were not welcome in this area. It was during this impression that she recorded a gruff-sounding male saying, "Put it down! Put it down!" There were two other spirit voices recorded at the same time, but they have been edited out of this clip to enable the male to be heard more clearly. Listen
Still in the basement, Investigator Bove' recorded three distinct voices. The first is a soft male voice saying, “She was my kid.” A very young female then says, “They left me,” followed by a woman saying, “That’s okay.” Listen
In this clip, recorded by Investigator Bove', you'll hear a man whisper, "Leave him alone." Bove' then states aloud that she "heard another whisper." Listen
Another male voice captured in the basement by Investigator Bove', disturbingly states, "We take abuse." Listen
