Case Studies - Historical House - Marcus Hook, PA - December 3, 2005

We were again privileged to have been afforded the opportunity to investigate this hidden historic treasure.  In case this is the first time you've seen the Plank House, it is an historic house that is rumored to have been owned by the mistress of the famed pirate, Black Beard.  The house is currently under radical restoration, which is why it looks like a construction site!  You can check out our first investigation of the Plank House by clicking here

We took full advantage of this occasion to take out some of our trainees and let them spread their wings.  Of course all of our investigators flourished, obtaining some of the most astonishing evidence we have ever seen or heard!  No less than 31 EVP were captured this night, many of the spirits interacting with us!

The Young Girl...

Interestingly, it is believed that the spirit of a young girl frequents the attic of this house.  As a sort of experiment, a stuffed dog was placed in the corner of the room where she has been seen.  Throughout the investigation, a flurry of activity was recorded around the toy.  What is more amazing is that one of our teams encountered the young girl and recorded her voice numerous times on their audio equipment!  She attempted to get our attention by knocking on the floor (captured on audio) and also interacted with the investigators!  This stuff never gets old, folks!

We offer some of our most compelling evidence here.

Investigator Halpin took this picture when the non-contact thermometer being held by Investigator K. Lenkowski (pictured) spiked more than 30 degrees.  Initial readings set the average temperature of the room at 53-68 degrees.  At the time of this picture, the temperature was more than 80 degrees.

When Investigator Halpin (pictured) felt a presence near her in the attic, she asked Investigator K. Lenkowski to take her picture.  As you can see, there are orbs all around her.

Even while on a break, our investigators are hard at work!  Investigator Pierantozzi took this picture showing a dense orb hovering over the investigators in the living room as they were chatting.

Investigator Halpin caught this bright, dense orb over the shoulder of a guest investigator in the attic.

While randomly taking pictures in the basement, Investigator J. Lenkowski captured this dual orb shot.

Investigator Bove' took this picture when she sensed a presence near the stuffed dog.
EVP EVIDENCE

So many EVP...so little space...

The Girl Speaks...And She Has A Lot to Say!

Listen to this astonishing EVP of a young girl as she attempts to get the attention of our team positioned in the attic!  You will hear three quick, distinct knocks, followed by a young girl stating, "That knock's from me."  Although there were three digital recorders running at the time, only Investigator Halpin's recorder picked up the knocking and the voice!   Listen

Continuing with the girl in the attic, Investigator Bove' was receiving imagery of a rather scary-looking gentleman, who she thought was someone the young girl had dreamed about.  You will hear Investigator Bove' voicing her imagery aloud, followed by a young girl answering, "Haven't had a dream."  Again, this was only picked up on Investigator Halpin's recorder.   Listen

As Investigator Bove' was discussing how old the girl might be, she spoke aloud that she thought the girl was about 10 or 11 years old.  It was then that her recorder picked up three female voices.  You'll hear a little giggle, followed by a woman saying, "Stop," with what sounds like a British accent.  She is quickly followed by a second female saying, "Doesn't matter," and then the third female immediately says, "She's older than that!"   Listen

The team in the attic felt the young girl was sitting on the floor, next to one of our guest investigators, like she was "hanging out" with them.  It was then that Investigator Bove' captured her voice again asking, "What's happening with you?"  It was like she was trying to strike up a conversation!   Listen

While the team was discussing the girl, Investigator Bove' recorded this young girl saying a draw-out "Hi."   Listen

Also recorded in the attic, Investigator J. Lenkowski's audio equipment picked up this strange little confession of a male saying, "Dropped, dropped...I did it."   Listen

Again in the extremely active attic, Investigator Halpin recorded this rather pathetic, but clear voice of a man saying, "My wife fell."   Listen

There seems to have been a lot of instances with people falling down in this house!  Investigator K. Lenkowski recorded this woman's voice in the living room, who seems to point the finger at someone, saying, "Honey, he's the one who tripped me."   Listen

As her team in the attic was laughing at a joke, Investigator Pierantozzi recorded this crystal-clear EVP of a woman saying, "Tell it again," followed by another woman saying, "That's swell."   Listen

The following EVP was actually picked up on Investigator Halpin's digital recorder and Investigator Thornton's video camera.  The spirit was likely closer to Halpin's recorder, as the voice is more distinct in this clip, but you can hear the same EVP in the video clip below.  You'll hear Investigator Thornton ask, "How many spirits are in this home?"  After a moment, a female voice answers, "Ten."  Actually, we think the jury is still out on that one!   Listen

VIDEO EVIDENCE

Our videographer of the evening was Investigator Thornton, who managed to capture a few excellent clips of spirit energy and EVP!

In this clip, you'll hear the same EVP as the that was captured on Investigator Halpin's digital recorder.  Note the differences in the quality of the recordings.   View
