Case Studies - Ireland Hofer House - Williamstown, NJ - April 14, 2007
The gorgeous Ireland Hofer House. Standing outside, this notable structure mesmerizes; the ornate black wrought iron fence, no doubt hand-forged by a skilled blacksmith, adds an air of quiet distinction, yet remains inviting. The sounds of our modern day fade away and you are transported back to the Williamstown of 1840. The building has a story to tell...one puzzle piece at a time.
We were once again afforded the opportunity to investigate one of our most prized local landmarks. You can experience our first investigation by clicking here. We hope to conduct further studies to build upon the evidence we have already gathered. Once again, we collected an above-average number of EVP - thirty in all, along with pictures and video of spirit activity.

While in the kitchen, Investigator Pray felt something was coming towards her when she captured this nearly perfect orb coming out of a storage area! |

Sitting at the top of the stairs leading to the second floor, Investigator Bove' felt a strong presence below when she took this picture showing 2 orbs in the foyer. |

As Investigator Pray was placing an audio recorder in a storage room, Investigator Bove' captured this large, bright orb directly above her! |

When in the attic of the house, Investigator Thornton stated aloud
that where she was standing was "chilly." When she moved
aside, Investigator Spring took this picture showing a large orb!

Feeling a presence, Investigator Bove' took another picture of the storage area and caught multiple orbs. The bright ones looks to be the same size and density as the one taken above. |

Immediately upon entering a storage area on the second floor,
Investigator Pray knew she was not alone. She snapped this
picture in a pretty specific spot and caught this large orb under a
wash stand.

Who is this handsome fellow? We found him in a storage room off the kitchen of the home. We were immediate taken with his thick, wavy hair and smoldering, colorless eyes! The ladies of the historical society informed us he is "anatomically correct," but we didn't look. Okay, we did look...and he is.

During general conversation among her team in the attic, Investigator Bove' recorded this gruff male voice saying, "Oh yeah, I'm walkin' around here." Note that the man has either or New York or New England accent. It should also be noted that there were no men on Bove's team this night. Listen
While in the children's room, Investigator Halpin was receiving imagery of a young boy and felt that he was there with her. In this clip, you will hear Investigator Halpin ask, "Did he live here?" A female voice responds immediately saying, "No, he died." Listen
Investigator Agar was hanging out in the second floor hallway when he recorded this male voice with a cynical tone saying, “I hold your badge,” followed by a throaty laugh! Although investigators can be heard distantly talking in this clip, the spirit's voice is easily heard. Listen
Investigator Halpin recorded this rather loud female voice near the second floor stairs. She simply states, "Love you!" Listen
While still in the attic, Investigator Bove' captured this female voices saying, "Watch how we dance, Pa," followed by a male voice saying, "Here with me." Could some young women have been showing their father the dances they learned? The atmosphere in the attic certainly suggests that a brood of children would have had their bedrooms in this area! While investigating the "children's room" of this glorious house, Investigator Bove' asked if anyone wanted to show us anything. A female replied, "This is me." The "creaks" heard in the recording are the footfalls of other investigators walking around. Listen
Investigator Spring had placed her recorder in what was once the dining room of the house. She picked up this raspy female voice saying, "Deviled eggs." Listen
Investigator Bove' was receiving imagery of some activity being captured on Investigator Thornton's video camera (full story below in the Video Evidence section). As Bove' called Thornton on her radio, she captured this disgusted-sounding female stating, "Clean the mess up." Listen
Positioned in the most active area of the attic, Investigator Spring captured this male voice who is saying what sounds like, "Hallow did it." Listen
A rather long clip of someone whistling was captured by Investigator Halpin in the attic! Of course, at no time do our investigators engage in creating ambient noise during an investigation that might be mistaken for an EVP. This one is rather clear! Listen
The
last EVP of the evening was captured by Investigator Halpin! As she
and Investigator Agar were walking out of the children's room, a child
called out, "Daddy!"

VIDEO EVIDENCE
Investigator Bove' was in the children's room on the second floor of the house when she suddenly received imagery of spirit activity being captured on Investigator Thornton's video camera, who was on the first floor. She radioed down and asked Investigator Thornton if she had indeed captured activity at that moment. Low and behold, she had! This clip is not the most impressive, but coupled with the circumstances of the imagery, it is amazing! The camera is pointed towards a doorway...look just beyond the threshold and you will see a mist-like anomaly near the floor, moving from left to right. Watch
Investigator Thornton caught this energy flying in circles near the doorway at the same time one of our guest investigators said she was feeling something and that her legs “felt funny.” Watch
This energy was captured by Investigator Thornton during the same minute as the one above, near the same doorway. Energy emerges from the wall, but quickly goes back in! Watch
While Investigator
Thornton was investigating the very active area of the attic, she filmed
this orb flying along the wall. It then changes direction and flies
towards the camera.
