Case Studies - Historical House - Somewhere in CT - June 18, 2005

During our trip to the Paracon Conference in Stratford, CT, we had arranged to investigate one of Connecticut's most beautiful historical houses.  You can check out some highlights of our trip by clicking here.  At the request of the local historical society, we are protecting the name of the house and its location.

The members of this particular historical society have reported many paranormal experiences in this home while working to preserve our American heritage.  We feel privileged to have been afforded the opportunity to investigate these claims and managed to capture some compelling evidence.

In the spirit of working and learning together, we invited members from Tri-State Paranormal Research (TSPR) and Central New York Ghost Hunters (CNY) to join us in exploring this historical gem.  We present some of the evidence that was collected during our joint investigation for your review.

Investigator McMahon (TSPR) took this picture showing a faint, but large orb when she felt uneasy in the second floor hallway.

One of our historical society guides for the evening is particularly sensitive to spirits and frequently pointed out where our investigators should take pictures.  This is the case regarding this picture taken by Investigator Thornton (SJPR) showing a large orb in the open hearth fire place located in the basement of the house.

Investigator Hensen (TSPR) asked any spirits in the area to give her a sign that they were present when she took this picture showing a very large orb in West Chamber of the house.

Our historical society guides also joined us in investigating!  This picture, taken by a society member, shows spirit activity in the Weaving Room.

This picture and the one to the right are excellent captures!  Taken by Investigator Hensen (TSPR), this picture shows a large orb near the door to the attic, along with the portion of another, huge orb.

In another picture, taken by Investigator Thornton (SJPR) at almost the exact same moment, captured the same orb as Investigator Hensen, but it appears to be in motion in this picture.
Investigator Bove' (SJPR) captured this large orb near Investigator DePisa (TSPR) in the attic. So what's with the pooch?  Allow us to explain...This is the beloved pet that belonged to one of the historical society members.  After many years together, the poodle recently passed away, but the owner still feels his presence everywhere she goes!  See the next two frames for some persuasive evidence.

Taken in the dog owner's home, check out the "face" in the orb that has been enhanced.  Sort of looks like a poodle, doesn't it?

In this picture, taken by the dog's owner during our investigation, among all of the "orbs" in this picture, there is one that appears to be yellow.  When enlarged, we again spot the face of the little poodle.
EVP EVIDENCE

While sitting in the attic of the house, Investigator Bove' (SJPR) captured this raspy male voice saying, "Hit him, Danny Boyd."  The historical society is checking to see if this name has a connection to the house.   Listen

For some reason, the name "Danny" was recorded in the attic three times by Investigator Bove' (SJPR).  In this clip, you will hear a woman say, "Calling Danny."  Even though investigators are also talking in this recording, the female spirit is loud and clear.   Listen

In a small room off the East Chamber, which was probably used as a bedroom when the house was inhabited, Investigator McMahon (TSPR) was alone.  As she was walking into the room, you will hear her ask aloud, "Who slept in this room?"  A clear female spirit replies, "What?" followed by a male whispering, "I'll show you in."   Listen

While sitting in the dining area on the first floor, Investigator McMahon (TSPR) recorded a male voice whispering, "Ali."  It should be noted that Investigator McMahon's first name is Ali.   Listen

Investigator Thornton (SJPR) was in the second floor hallway when she stated aloud, "I'm extremely drawn to this hallway."  You will then hear a male voice whisper, "Built it."   Listen
