| Case Studies - Private Residence - Hammonton, NJ - November
27, 2004
The residents of this massive home asked SJPR to investigate the daily activity they experience. Although a large family lives within, footfalls can be heard on the stairs and in the upstairs hallway long after everyone has retired for the evening. The family and visitors to the home have heard voices from empty rooms and the basement; objects disappear and then reappear in other rooms or strange places; one of the six bedrooms in the house remains unused, as no one will sleep there. The residents have also seen a woman dressed in a white nightgown on numerous occasions and neighbors have reported seeing her gazing from an upstairs window. The family also has it on good authority that this home was used as a Speak Easy during the years of prohibition. Men would gather for the libations and the ladies of the evening who would also frequent the illicit establishment. The residents report hearing a "din" rising from the basement, as though there was a party in progress and often have their hair or face stroked by unseen hands. Some of our more sensitive investigators picked up on the "party atmosphere" of the home and indeed experienced instances of their faces being touched. As a reminder, our investigators are told nothing of the activity before an investigation so as not to subconsciously influence their findings. We offer some of our evidence here. -Click on a photo for a larger image- |

EVIDENCE
The one EVP captured during the evening was recorded by Investigator Thornton. Recorded during general conversation among the investigators, the male voice simply says, "Glug, glug." Listen |
