Case Studies - Collings-Knight House - Collingswood, NJ - February 4, 2006

Ah, the Collings-Knight House.  This little piece of American history sits with quiet grandeur, yet calls to us.  It has had so much to say to us over the years (literally), that we thought we take our newest members out to see what they could find.  This was our fourth formal investigation of this 1820's farmhouse...you can check out our first, second, and third investigations by clicking the respective links.

Among the evidence we collected were some pretty impressive pictures and video footage, along with 21 EVP.  We present here some of the better evidence collected this night, some of which was captured by investigators trying their hand at ghost hunting for the first time!

Investigator Bove' took this picture when she felt a presence come into the room in the finished area of the attic.  See the picture to the right...

This picture was taken just a second after the one to the left and shows that the energy continued to come into the room and move towards Investigator Bove'.

This "colorful" orb was caught by Investigator Pierantozzi in the finished area of the attic.

This photo was taken at random by Investigator J. Lenkowski in what is referred to as the Keeping Room.  This room would have been the hub of family life for the residents.

Okay, there is nothing paranormal visible in this picture, but Investigator Halpin captured this image of Investigator Thornton just after an unseen hand tugged on her elbow.  The expression on her face will give you a clue as to how even a seasoned paranormal investigator can be caught by surprise!

This impressive specimen of an orb was captured by Investigator Agar in the unfinished portion of the attic.

Investigator Agar took this picture of Investigator Pierantozzi when she stated she felt a presence behind her. The Front Parlor fills with spirit activity and Investigator Bove' captured the moment.

EVP EVIDENCE

Investigator Thornton recorded this strange little voice saying, "Ut-oh, they don't have them...ut-oh."   Listen

New member, Investigator K. Lenkowski, captured at least a couple of female voices in one of the second floor bedrooms.  Listen carefully and you'll hear a woman say, "I'm here," followed immediately by another female voice repeating, "I'm here."  The first woman then continues, "Do you want me?"   Listen

Investigator Pierantozzi captured this male voice in the Keeping Room, whispering, "Oops, hold my hand, if possible."   Listen

While in the attic, Investigator Halpin recorded this clear, female voice asking, "Do you feel that?  Call my name?"  Was she asking the investigators if they could feel her presence and to say her name?   Listen

Also recorded in the attic by Investigator Halpin is this female voice saying, "We have called you now."   Listen

While Investigator Halpin was quietly contemplating in one of the second floor bedrooms, she recorded a "yappy" dog who seems to be "flipping out," like little yappy dogs do!  She did not hear any dogs barking at the time and a second recorder running in the same room did NOT pick up the barking.  No other investigators reported a dog barking, nor did any of the other 5 digital recorders or video camera recording in the house pick up any dogs barking.  The male voice heard in the clip is another investigator talking just outside of the room.   Listen

VIDEO EVIDENCE

Our videographer of the evening was Investigator Thornton, who managed to capture some compelling footage this evening.

In this clip, you will see an orb come out of the leg of the bed on which Investigator Bove' is sitting.   View

The audio was purposely left in this video clip.  You will hear Investigator Bove', who was standing behind the camera, ask the spirits aloud, "...to go sit by Deb, or go by Deb," who is sitting on the bed within the video frame.  Watch as the spirits oblige the request and fly near Investigator Thornton.  Investigator Bove' then apologized to Investigator Thornton, because she knows that Deb hates it when she asks the spirits to fly around her!  We don't know why she keeps torturing poor Deb!  As usual, she takes it all in stride!   View
